BEST ANSWER: Hello. I can confirm yes to Apple Car Play. I don’t not have experience with Android Auto but would think this cable is equally compatibility. Android users can comment.

More cleanly built and sturdier than it looks! Noticeably scratch resistant, with well balanced angle leeway.
Cable ends were more solid than expected, but still flexible enough to reach around tight corners. The weave running across the cable is a lot more smooth and tighter woven than my other high-end cables, and most likely will not have the mesh fray or split apart. (unlike the cable it replaced, where the cloth weave could be separated with a fingernail by accident)
For a nightstand cable running across a sharp table edge, it doesn't appear to have any weaknesses that would split most alternatives.

Flex series seem to hold up.

I had to replace all of my old USB Micro cables when I got a new phone that used USB-C. These seem much better quality than the old ones, and I especially like the flexible strain reliefs. My old cables always twisted apart there when they failed. I don't see that happening with these. It's a relief to actually find quality cables these days in a world of cheap junk.
