are these gold plated?

BEST ANSWER: The plugs are covered in a gold colored finish. Difficult to say whether they are actually gold, or just brass. The cables work as advertised.

Do these cables have any ferrite cores along their length?
New User U
on May 23, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Not that I am aware of or can see. Just a braided jacket. You can buy snap-on ferrite cores separately. HDMI uses digital signals, so a ferrite core will have no impact on the quality of the signal passed between the two devices connected by the HDMI cable itself. The only thing a ferrite core **might** do is prevent any radiation from the cable itself affecting other devices susceptible to RF signals (not the devices connected by the cable itself).

Is this cable directional?
A shopper
on Mar 31, 2021
BEST ANSWER: There is an arrow on either end of the connections, but showing where to plug it in. Not a directional indicator though like audioquest cables, but I haven’t had any issues with the picture quality. Very solid feeling cable, hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: ALLM actually stands for Auto Low Latency Mode which is a TV feature that recognizes a console is plugged in and just switches the TV into game mode. So yes these support it.

Is there a difference in flexibility between the Braided 15' Ultra High Speed 8k Certified HDMI cable and the regular 15' Ultra High Speed 8k Certified HDMI cable? I am curious because this will be an in the wall installation.

Is there a certain length you can use up to before the signal falls off? I heard it was 10ft, before you have to go into an active cable.

Great Cable
It's a great cable, only downside is that it is stiff so if you have tight corners, it might prove difficult to accomodate

Actually works with 4k @ 120Hz!
I have the Hue Syncbox 8K and tried three different "certified" Ultra High Speed cables to get 4K at 120Hz on certain devices connected through the Syncbox. Each cable worked when connecting the devices directly to the TV, but none could handle the signal from the Syncbox to the TV. After some frustration, I gave up and connected my 4K devices directly to the TV for a while.
Eventually, I decided to try Monoprice cables. Using this cable to connect the Syncbox to the TV solved all of my issues. Now, every device works perfectly through the Syncbox.
If you need a cable that can handle 4K at 120Hz, this one gets the job done.

Works great! Worth a try to fix eARC issues.
I was having a problem with my eARC connection between the TV and AVR. Sometimes this was fixed by a full power cycle on at least the TV. Sometimes I needed to pull the plugs on both. Although the cable looked fine and was a decent HDMI cable for other purposes, the HDMI cable replacement was an easy test. I am pleased to advise this replacement cable seems to have fixed the problem! I am no engineer and don't do sophisticated technical testing, but this was a simple and inexpensive test run that worked! I also got a slightly longer one to avoid strain on the connections. I highly recommend this cable, which is sturdy and well made, but most importantly fixed the problem for me.

Works well!
I bought a TV that kept doing dark for a few seconds and also didn't always turn on when I pressed the button. I returned it and bought a much better one and put the same cords on it. I had just bought them and supposedly they worked with my TV. They didn't. It went dark too, but that TV told me why (and it turns on every time). They couldn't handle 4K. I had old Monoprice 4K cords. I used them and everything worked but because my old TV had a displaced port box, they are short and hung in front of the window. These are longer and I haven't had a problem since they arrived. It did take a long time for them to come and they cost more than others that might work, but my previous experience made me buy a certified cord with the better specs than the TV said it needed. I wish the cords said what they are on them though. Once they are in a pile it's hard to tell which cord you want.

Perfect performance, flexible cable.
In my home theater setup, I've equipped all my devices with 8K HDMI cables connected to my HT Processor (Trinnov). While the system currently requires only 4K, I opted for these cables to future-proof my setup. Additionally, the higher bit rates these cables support help to prevent data interference or packet loss at 4K transmission levels. I highly recommend investing in these quality cables for your own setup.
